Ringed Galaxy NGC 7217
Although classified
as a early type spiral galaxy, NGC 7217 resembles and elliptical
galaxy in some respects. Note that the "arms" cannot really be
traced back to the center. This could also be a type of ring
galaxy, however, there is much visible material between the
bluish outer "arms" and the central bulge. The stats for NGC
7217 are RA: 22h 07m 52.4s, Dec: +31° 21' 33", Mag: 11.0 (B),
Size: 3.9'x3.2', and Class: (R)SA(r)ab.
